INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis Colts are dedicating their home Monday Night Football game on Nov. 28 vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers to mental health awareness and Kicking The Stigma, the Jim Irsay family initiative to raise awareness about mental health and remove the stigma too often associated with mental health disorders.
“This stigma surrounding mental health is literally a matter of life and death, and it affects people from every background and every walk of life,” said Jim Irsay, Colts Owner & CEO. “That’s why we must do what it takes to move this conversation out of the darkness and into the light of day and keep reminding people that mental health is health.”
During next Monday night’s game, fans will learn more about Kicking The Stigma, other ongoing efforts surrounding mental health in local communities, and what fans can do to help or contribute.
What’s more:
- Coaches and players will wear Kicking The Stigma pregame warmups shirts.
- Proceeds from the day’s Colts 50/50 Raffle will go toward the Kicking The Stigma Action Grants. The Action Grants support nonprofits and organizations, primarily in Indiana, to raise awareness and expand mental health treatment and research.
- Recipients of the 2022 round of Action Grants will be announced soon.
- For a $30 donation supporting the Action Grants, fans may receive a limited-edition Kicking the Stigma knit beanie. Beanies are available online at Colts.com/KTS through Dec. 4 or while supplies last.

The Irsays launched Kicking The Stigmain 2020 to raise awareness about mental health disorders and remove the stigma often associated with these illnesses and raise and distribute funding to nonprofits and other organizations to expand mental health treatment and research.
Through Action Grants and personal donations by the Irsays, more than $17 million has been committed to expand treatment and research and raise awareness in Indiana and beyond. Friends and fans can learn more or donate at Colts.com/KTS.
