BEDFORD – A 14-year-old male was detained on Wednesday, November 23 after Bedford Police officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute in the 30 block of Shawnee Lane.
When police arrived they spoke to a female who reported the teen shoved her down and then left the apartment but later returned.
The woman reported the teen had been belligerent all day and the fight started after she stated she was going to take the internet away and went to unplug it. As she was doing so the teen came up behind her and shoved her with two hands. The shove caused her to fall forward onto a couch allowing her knees to land on the floor, scraping them both.
The woman requested the teen be detained.
Officers found the teen inside the apartment where he was detained and transported to the Bedford Police Department. Juvenile Probation was also contacted.
The teen was transported on a charge of domestic battery causing moderate injury and transported by a Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department deputy to the Regional Youth Village in Vincennes.
