Geneva Shelton, 92, of Bloomington, passed away at 8:42 a.m. on Tuesday, December 13, 2022,
at The Springs in Mooresville, IN.
Born March 5, 1930, in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Ben and Hazel (Chaney) Shelton. She had been an assembly line worker at RCA in Bloomington and a member of the Gillen Post #33 American Legion.
Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Shelton, of West Palm Beach, FL, and Jane Reese, of Martinsville; grandson, Alan R. Shelton and his wife, Dusty, of CO, a great-granddaughter, Kylie Grubbs and fiancé, Ethan, of CO; a great-grandson, A. J. Shelton, and fiancé, Jessica, of Mitchell; great-granddaughter, Jessica Tiara Shelton, of CO; great-great-grandchildren, Zeke, Riley, Emberly, Juniper, Phoenix, Grayson, Emberlynn, and Konnor; a brother, Orville Shelton, NC; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Nancy Darlene Dorris; siblings, Ilena Fern Chapman, Louise Johnson, Regina Chase, Wanda Martin, Gerald Shelton, James Shelton, and Frances Tarrants.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 15th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Bass Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Thursday, at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
