BEDFORD – A Bloomington man was arrested Wednesday, when a Bedford Police officer began an investigation on May 1, 2022, after a report of an offense against a child.
The woman reported that 33-year-old Shae Mullis had exposed her son to sexual acts while he was babysitting him. She said her son had watched pornographic videos with him and had self-gratified himself with the boy in the room.
Mullis had told the boy not to tell anyone or he would beat him.
During a forensic interview at Susie’s Place, the child confirmed what he had told his mother.
Police attempted to speak to Mullis, who replied, “I’ve got an attorney”. Mullis denied the allgegations.
The information was forwarded to the Lawrence County Prosecutor’s Office and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
