SPRINGVILLE – The cause of a mobile home fire on Cobb Lane remains under investigation.
Perry Township, Marshall Township, and Oolitic Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the scene after a 911 caller reported the blaze at 11:48 p.m. Thursday in the 300 block of Cobb Lane. The mobile home is owned by Robert Clift.
When firefighters arrived the mobile home was engulfed in flames.
According to Perry Township Volunteer Fire Chief Jessica Voorhies, no one lived in the home and there was no power or heat at the home. The State Fire Marshal’s Office was alerted and will be investigating.
