April 8, 1955 – January 2, 2023
Greg P. Harrell, 67, of Bedford, passed away peacefully at his residence on January 2, 2023.
Born on April 8, 1955, he was the son of Carl and Ella Mae (East) Harrell. Greg retired from the Local 741 Laborer’s Union. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Local 741, and the American Legion Gillen Post #33. Greg was a hard-working man and a dedicated friend to all. To say that he made a positive impact on others would be an understatement.
Surviving to cherish Greg’s memory is one brother, Joe (Ruth) Harrell; niece, Brandy Grant; and
several great nieces and nephews.
Greg is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Ella Mae; one brother, Stephen Harrell; grandmother, Vera East; and aunt, Bertha Brightley; one niece, April Harrell-Solis; and a great-nephew, Isaac Kopsho.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 6, 2023, at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Bedford with Father Jegan Peter and Deacon Dave Reising officiating. Cremation will follow. The visitation will be from Noon until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Greg can be made to the White River Humane Society
and Hoosier Uplands Hospice.
