LAWRENCE CO. – The first day for candidates to file in municipal elections is Wednesday.
The deadline to file a declaration of candidacy for a major political party municipal primary nomination is noon on Friday, February 3, 2023.
Candidates can file for the following offices in the City of Bedford and the City of Mitchell:
- Mayor
- Clerk/Treasurer
- City Council seats
Town of Oolitic
- Clerk/Treasurer
- Town Council seats ( all At-Large)
This year’s primary election will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2023. On Tuesday, November 7, 2023, voters will decide who is elected to serve their respective terms of office.
