Mylea Slone, a senior at Mitchell High School, has been named the Genius Jock for the month of January, presented by the attorneys at Pittman Law Firm, Greg Pittman and Michelle Woodward.
Slone, the daughter of Terry and Teresa Slone, is a member of SADD, Key Club, HOSA, Fresh Start, Leadership, Student Council, and National Honors Society.
She has played on the school’s basketball team for four seasons.
Her hard work at MHS is not limited to just the basketball court, as Slone is also a strong student, with a current GPA of 4.010. Additionally, she has received four Scholastic Ms and the highest academic distinction four times.
After graduating from MHS, Slone plans to attend the Indiana University School of Medicine, where she will study to become a radiologist.
