EDFORD – Annita G. Cox, 60, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2023, at IU Health Hospice House.
Born January 19, 1962, in Bedford, she was the daughter of James Edward and Gail Louise (Speer) Connerley.
Annita was self-employed as a beautician. She was an avid sports fan; a big Nascar fan, especially Kevin Harvick, and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Surviving is her children, Kia, Kenzi, and Kansas; grandchildren, Grayson and Winston; sisters, Lois (Dan) Fisher of Indianapolis and Barbara Martin of Mitchell; mother, Gail Louise Connerley of Mitchell; several nieces and nephews; longtime friend, Michael Stevens of Mitchell; and all of her Nascar group friends.
Her father; brother, Jimmy Connerley; and niece, Amber Gail Martin, preceded her in death.
Graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, January 9, at Fairview Cemetery in Bedford with Reverend Brent Fisher officiating. Burial will follow. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Monday at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
