BEDFORD – A Bedford woman is facing a charge of domestic battery after Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to a domestic dispute on Thursday, December 8th on Mason Street.
A male reported 32-year-old Audrianna Manning had been drinking and was now “going crazy”.
The man said she was yelling and had pushed him up against the wall.
When police arrived they found Manning outside. She told police the male caller was missing and she couldn’t find him.
Police say Manning was crying and was intoxicated.
A few minutes later the male caller was found walking back to the scene.
The male told police there was a verbal argument over cooking biscuits and that is when Manning backed the male into the bathroom and began hitting him.
The male is an epileptic and had recently had brain surgery.
The caller told police she then started to push and hit her oldest son when he got between the two to stop Manning from hitting the male.
The woman claimed that the caller was having a seizure and that she went into the bathroom to hold his head. She denied hitting or pushing the male or her son.
The woman gathered some of her belongings and an officer transported her to a family member’s home.
Police say there were multiple children in the home during the incident. The Department of Child Services was alerted.
The information was forwarded to the Lawrence County Prosecutor’s Office and a warrant was issued for Manning’s arrest.
