State police arrest seven after saturation patrol

TIPPECANOE CO. – Friday evening, troopers from the Indiana State Police Lafayette Post conducted a saturation patrol, searching for dangerous and impaired drivers.

During the patrol, troopers issued 106 warnings, 28 citations, arrested one person for possession of methamphetamine, and arrested six people for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. One of the OWI arrests resulted from the driver being involved in a crash.  

Individuals who were arrested and their preliminary charges:

Norman Howard, 68, From Lafayette

  • Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated with a BAC of .15 for More- Class A Misdemeanor

Bruce Alexander, 42, From Lafayette

  • Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated – Endangerment – Class A Misdemeanor

Jonathon Anspach, 39, From Lafayette

  • Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated – Class C Misdemeanor

Shaun Richey, 36, from Lafayette

  • Operating a vehicle While Intoxicated – With a Passenger Less than 18 Years of Age – Level 6 Felony
  • Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated – Endangerment – Class A Misdemeanor

William King, 30, from Oxford

  • Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated – Class C Misdemeanor

Marc Lett, 25, Grand Rapids, MI

  • Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated – Class C Misdemeanor

Amanda Carrrero, 36, Lafayette

  • Possession of Methamphetamine – Level 6 Felony
  • Possession of Legend Drug – Level 6 Felony
  • Possession of Marijuana – Class A Misdemeanor
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance – Class A Misdemeanor
  • Driving While Suspended – Prior- Class A Misdemeanor
