BEDFORD – Angel Hawkins is seeking re-election for Bedford City Council, At-Large (R).
As a current member of the City Council, Hawkins has thoroughly enjoyed representing the citizens of Bedford for the last 3 years with near-perfect attendance at all meetings.
Hawkins made the following statement:
Being a Mother to my daughter, Lilly Jean, a co-owner of a local business, as well as being a full-time real estate agent, I really found my niche in representing citizens of Bedford with homeownership benefits in mind. I am able to use my experience as an active council member and as a voting member of the Planning Commission and Zoning Board to ensure citizens’ best interests are served. Representing the taxpayers, I have been a part of budget reviews as well as ensuring more transparent use of funds and a part of evaluating fair working wages for the employees that keep our great City functioning. Like many of you, I am striving daily to develop as a parent, and member of the community as well as overcome obstacles and challenges life can bring. I would appreciate your vote and consideration to work for the Citizens and Taxpayers of our City for another four years.Â
