BEDFORD – A Bedford man is facing a charge of criminal mischief after several reports of a property line dispute with his neighbor.
According to the caller she paid Travis Norman Group LLC to conduct a survey of her property. The company staked out the property line and provided a copy of the survey to the woman on December 21, 2022.
The woman provided a Bedford Police officer with surveillance video from cameras located at her residence which shows the accused, 47-year-old Matthew Hays, walking up and pulling the gutter from the side of her residence and throwing it in her driveway causing damage to the gutter. In a separate video, it shows Hays again pulling a stake from the ground and throwing it in her drive.
The woman requested to file charges against Hays. The information was forwarded to the Lawrence County Prosecutor’s Office and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
