Cathy Ann Jones, 68, of Mitchell, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at her residence.
Born December 30, 1954, in Orleans, she was the daughter of Carl Frederick “Fred” and Sylvia Faye (Bell) Watterson. Cathy married Roger Dean Jones on May 13, 1998, and he survives.
Cathy worked as a housekeeper at French Lick Hotel. She had a strong love of animals and country life.
Surviving is her husband, Roger Dean Jones of Mitchell; son, Alan Gene Watterson of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren, Alec, Cameron, and Olivia; and brother, Dennis F. (Brenda) Watterson of Mitchell.
Her parents preceded her in death.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 21, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Brother Dennis Watterson officiating.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
Cremation will follow.
