INDIANAPOLIS – As the new year begins, the Indiana State Library would like to remind everyone that several training videos from 2022 are available to view on the library’s YouTube channel.
Recent uploads include “Media Mentorship Workshop,” “Philosophy and Children’s Literature: An Interactive Presentation,” and “TALK: Text and Learn for Kindergarten.”
Most training videos are eligible for LEUs for Indiana library staff. Any time a staff member views an online event – or a library purchases a site license for an online event – by any of the training providers approved for LEUs by the State Library, the library’s designee in an administrative or human resources role shall create and award LEU certificates in-house. The State Library has also recently uploaded several INSPIRE promotional videos featuring State Librarian Jacob Speer, Young Readers Center librarian Suzanne Walker, Professional Development Office supervisor Kara Cleveland and EBSCO trainer Lisa Jones.
In addition to the training videos and the INSPIRE promotional videos, the State Library’s YouTube channel also houses playlists featuring interviews with Indiana authors, gaming webinars, and digitized archival footage. Outside of the playlists, viewers can find book reviews, interviews, and archived What’s Up Wednesday presentations.
