Constellation Stage & Screen announces a robust lineup of summer camps for grades K-12

BLOOMINGTON – Constellation Stage & Screen announces its second year of summer camps since the organization’s launch in July 2022.

This summer, Constellation is offering an array of weeklong camps, running from June 5 through July 21, for Littles (rising grades K-2), Kids (rising grades 3-6), and Teens (rising grades 7-12).

Camps are conveniently located in various locations across Downtown Bloomington including Constellation Studios, the Ted Jones Playhouse, and the Waldron Arts Center. A full schedule of camps is available on Constellation Stage & Screen’s website and enrollment officially opens on February 8th.

This summer, in addition to Constellation’s popular Broadway, Comedy, and Movie Camps for kids and teens, the company is expanding its programming for Littles (grades K-2). With glowing reviews from last year’s parents and high demand for spring programming, Constellation is excited to be offering more camps for young children, including Movie Playground, Broadway Beginnings Abridged, and Theater Camp: Fairytales Flipped – all great introductions to the world of performing arts.

As a parent of a Broadway Beginnings student from the summer of 2022 said, “Our camper was introduced to theater, to being on stage, and to lots of varied music and shows. She loved it all and all of it was unique. We have not encountered a camp quite like it. It was great!”

Another parent gave the following recommendation: “My children don’t normally speak in detail about what they do at school or other day camp experiences, but after each session both of them had something new and exciting to report to me. I could tell that the instructors were doing a great job engaging the students’ imaginations throughout the day and making them feel like they were an integral part of the creation of the work.”

Constellation offers full scholarships for students grades K-12. These scholarships are generously sponsored by IU Credit Union and allow students who qualify for free/reduced lunch to attend a Constellation class at no cost to them. For more details on sponsorships and how to apply, visit Constellation’s website.

After a nearly sold-out spring session of classes, Constellation is encouraging families to enroll their students as soon as possible to guarantee their spot. Registration officially opens on Wednesday, Feb. 8 through Constellation’s website.
