INDIANAPOLIS — A workplace diversity and entrepreneurship scholar headlines the state’s leading annual business and legislative gathering on March 14.
Dr. James H. Johnson Jr., a professor at the University of North Carolina, will be the featured speaker at the Indiana Chamber of Commerce’s Chamber Day Dinner held at the Indiana Roof Ballroom in downtown Indianapolis.
The event, presented by Thompson Thrift, takes place from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. and annually draws hundreds of policy, business, and community leaders.
“The Chamber Day Dinner is a wonderful opportunity to connect with state lawmakers – all of whom are invited – and business executives from around the state,” says Indiana Chamber President and CEO Kevin Brinegar. “This year’s keynote will provide a timely look at how to make Indiana a haven of prosperity for Hoosiers from all walks of life, with Dr. Johnson discussing demographic changes in Indiana’s workplaces and workforce. Dr. Johnson’s research interests include community and economic development, the effects of demographic changes on American workplaces, interethnic minority conflict in advanced industrial societies, poverty and public policy in urban America, and workforce diversity issues.
