WASHINGTON – A 19-year-old Washington man faces charges of rape and child molestation.
Daviess County Sheriff’s Department deputies and Washington Police officers arrested Dimitri Alexander Burton at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Burton is facing one count of rape, two counts of child molesting, and two counts of child molestation by fondling or touching a child under the age of 14.
He is being held in the Daviess County Jail on a $200,000 bond.
He appeared in Daviess Superior Court before Judge Dean Sobecki this morning for an initial hearing where a not-guilty plea was entered on his behalf. A pretrial conference is scheduled for March 7 at 8:30 a.m.
