BEDFORD – North Lawrence Community Schools hosted a winter market fundraiser for their robotics programs on Sunday, Feb. 5 at Parkview Elementary School.
The event, organized by Brittney Arce, brought in members of the community to shop with local vendors and learn more about robotics.
Attendees were able to donate, along with 100% of vendor fees being given to the programs. All together, the event raised $1,857.70.
Robotics members from school were in attendance to represent their teams, while also getting to know one another, NLCS robotics coordinator Naomi Trojan said.
“It was neat watching the kids shyly interact with each other and then bond like they have always known each other.”
NLCS has 14 robotics teams across their schools. Those are BMS 72747A, Needmore 70632F, Needmore 70632G, Needmore 70632E, Oolitic 7749A, Shawswick 59591B, BMS 72747A, Shawswick 59591A, Lincoln 15327B, Lincoln 15327A, Parkview 18114B, Parkview 18114A, Shawswick 59591C and Oolitic 7749B.
