BEDFORD – Joanna Hackney, a number one fan of the 12 Months of Christmas, praised Pat Hutchinson for her loving nature during the Bedford Rotary Club’s 11th annual Rotary Toast.
Pat Hutchinson is the owner of 12 Months of Christmas and a local community leader.
This event took place on Saturday, February 11, at First Baptist Church in Bedford.
Hackney has known Hutchinson for years. She described Pat’s kindness and the wonderful alliance between Pat and Christmas.
“You can often see the wonder on people’s faces when they enter her store,” said Hackney. “The love present in that space is overwhelming. I cry every time I enter. Being in that store is like being in childhood once more. It is magic and Pat is the wizard… Her arms are outstretched and her hugs are warm. The beauty of her love for her customers manages to outshine the beauty of her store she recreates every year… Pat is my family and Pat is your family. Her careful script is on the ornaments you put on your tree each year. Her work and her legacy are in our community and her love is in your life. She has brought the wonder of Christmas to Lawrence County in all 12 months but Pat Hutchinson is the wonder.”
Hutchinson thanked everyone for attending the event and her family for the outpouring of support.
