ORANGE CO. – On Feb. 12 at approximately 7:35 p.m., deputies of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department took a report of a stolen vehicle from a residence on County Road 310 W near Wildwood. The vehicle was gray Kia Soul.
After deputies finished taking the report, they began driving down 310 W and came across the stolen vehicle approximately 1 mile away from the residence being driven by a Cassandra Schardt of Wildwood.
Deputies conducted a felony stop of the vehicle at approximately 8:26 p.m. and arrested Schardt for:
- Theft of a Motor Vehicle – A Level 6 Felony
- Unauthorized Control of a Motor Vehicle – A Class B Misdemeanor
The vehicle was returned to its rightful owners.
