ORANGE COUNTY – The Orange County Sheriff’s Department announced Thursday that they have issued all deputies body-worn cameras (BWC) for immediate use.
These BWC’s are part of the Axon 3 platform and will help provide transparency and accountability to citizens. In a post on their Facebook page, they said they chose that platform due to its ease of use and ability to connect to their in-vehicle wifi and automatically upload the video to the cloud.
“We appreciate the Orange County Community Foundation for their assistance monetarily to allowing us to get the best possible BWC’s. We also want to thank the Indiana Department of Homeland Security for awarding us a body camera grant,” the post said.
