BEDFORD – Indy’s “Self-Proclaimed #1 Pop, Rock, Bluegrass, R&B Cover Band, My Yellow Rickshaw will be performing live at Shelterbration, an annual fundraiser event for Becky’s Place on Saturday, March 4.
The band’s setlist is sure to feature something everyone will like, as the band performs covers from plenty of genres and time periods.
“Since 2009, this rotating group of friends, neighbors and musicians have been entertaining folks around Indianapolis with humor, variety and seamless covers into every show. From Taylor Swift to Timberlake, Zac Brown Band to Alabama, The Temptations to Van Morrison, Cyndi Lauper to Guns ‘N Roses, TLC to Usher, plenty of top 40 and hip-hop, and even an Irish jig or two, you will hear musical selections from the 1950’s to today’s current hits,” the band’s website states.
In addition to the live music, Shelterbration will feature a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle, Becky’s Place Awards, residents’ success stories and food by Carla’s Catering.
This event is the primary fundraiser for Becky’s Place, which provides services to more than 80 homeless women and children, helping them find sustainable living situations.
Those looking to attend can purchase their tickets online. The cost is $50 per ticket or $400 to reserve a table for eight.
