Jeannette R. Lash, 81, of Mitchell, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2023, at her son’s residence.
Born on June 22, 1941, she was the daughter of Harlan R. and Gladys Ruth (Kaiser) Boyd. She married Charles M. Lash, and he preceded her in death. Jeannette retired from RCA. She was of the Christian Faith. She was very patriotic and loved her Country. She loved music and enjoyed playing the drums, keyboard, guitar, mandolin, and dobro.
Surviving to cherish the memory of Jeannette are three daughters, Teresa (Darrell) Hammock of Greene County, Cheryl Lash of Greene County, and Shelley (Shannon) Bundy of Lawrence County; one son, John (Carol) Lash of Greene County; nine grandchildren, Brandon, Charles, Colten, Cory, Kallie, Holly, Nevaeh, Allisen, and Breanna; three great-grandchildren, and one on the way; one brother, Harlan Boyd of Indianapolis; and two sisters, Doris Michael of Solsberry and Mary Piacenti of Clifton, IL; a half-brother, Harlin G. Cobb of North Vernon.
Preceding Jeannette in death are her parents; husband; brother, James Boyd; and a sister in infancy, Carolyn Sue Boyd.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, February 27, 2023, at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford with Pastor Tim Sumpter officiating. Burial will follow at the Walnut Grove Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Monday, February 27, 2023, also at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel.
