BEDFORD – Bedford North Lawrence junior Chloe Spreen was named the District 3 Player of the Week by the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association.
Spreen scored 20 points, including 14 in the second half, while powering the Stars to a 46-42 victory over Fishers in the IHSAA Class 4A state championship game. She hit 9 of 14 shots and added 5 rebounds as BNL won its fifth state title in program history.
Other winners for the week included Morgan Gawthrop (Fairfield), Amber Tretter (Forest Park) and Linzie Wernert (Lanesville) for girls basketball, and Dominique Murphy (EC Central), Dylan Moles (Greenfield-Central) and Dakota Candler (South Knox) for boys basketball.
