WASHINGTON, DC— Congressman Jim Banks (IN-03), along with fellow co-chairs Congressman Doug Lamborn (CO-05) and Salud Carbajal (CA-24) officially announced the launch of the House Hypersonics Caucus for the 118th Congress to promote the utilization of hypersonic weapons.
Congressman Jim Banks said, “since we launched the first-ever House Hypersonics Caucus in March of 2021, our hypersonic capabilities have become even more critical to America’s national security. As our adversaries rapidly grow their hypersonic arsenal, we need to support the defense industrial base’s investments in offensive and defensive hypersonic weapons.
Congress must support and invest in the DoD’s efforts to gain superiority in hypsersonic warfare and I am proud of the leading role that Indiana continues to play in the research and testing of hypersonic systems and hypersonic innovation.
Hypersonics Caucus members: Congressman Jim Banks (IN-03), Congressman Doug Lamborn (CO-05), Congressman Salud Carbajal (CA-24), Congressman Robert Aderholt (AL-04), Congressman Michael Walz (FL-06), Congressman Jerry Carl (AL-01), Congressman Scott DesJarlais (TN-04), Congressman Joe Wilson (SC-02), Congresswoman Sara Jacobs (CA-53), Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01) and Congressman Michael Turner (OH-10).
