LAWRENCE CO. – Members of the Lawrence County Redevelopment Commission met on Thursday, approving a bid for paving on Mitchell’s Meridian Road, as well as an invoice for work recently done to inspect the road’s bridge.
The RDC received three bids for the paving work, opting to accept the lowest one, which came from Milestone Contractors for $242,350.
The road is in need of a repaving to fix damage done by heavy construction vehicles that have frequently used it during the building of the nearby Lehigh plant.
The RDC also agreed to pay an invoice of $5,750 to Butler, Fairman and Seufert for their recent inspection of the road’s bridge. The inspection was approved by the commission during a previous meeting.
