ORLEANS – There’s still time to sign up for the upcoming March Madness 5K race, hosted by Orleans Tri Kappa.
The race will begin at 9 a.m. on March 25. It will be a flat and fast course beginning and ending at Orleans’ Historic Town Square.
Proceeds from the race benefit Orleans Tri Kappa, which contributes nearly $8000 yearly in scholarships, supplies items for Orleans Blessings Box, books for our RIF program and Orleans’ Free Little Library, toys for Riley Hospital, and pet food and supplies for Orange County Humane Society.
The race will be split into different age divisions: 0-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and up.
There will also be awards for top competitors in both the run and walk races.
5K Run Awards: Overall top female/male and top three female/male age group winners
5K Walk awards: Overall top three female/male
Anyone interested in signing up for either the 5K walk or the 5K run can do so here. There will also be sign-ups accepted on the day of the event at the town square. The cost is $25 until 3/23 after that date the registration fee will be $30.
