LAWRENCE CO. – During Wednesday’s meeting of the Bedford Noon Lions Club, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department Detective Andrea Barnett was named officer of the year for the department in 2022.
LCSD posted to their Facebook page, explaining how valuable Barnett is to the department.
“Det. Barnett is a huge asset to our agency and this community. Her demeanor, integrity, positive personality, strong work ethic, and quality work products are demonstrated every day. She gives 100% to all investigations, always going above and beyond, no matter how big or small the case may be. In addition to her daily outstanding work, she was also the co-lead investigator on a homicide investigation and arrest, and she has assumed the evidence room manager role,” the post said.
