OOLITIC – North Lawrence Community Schools took to their Facebook page on Thursday to post a statement about the future of Oolitic Middle School, saying the corporation is working to speak to stakeholders and gather relevant data to come to the best possible decision.

“Dear #NLCS Community: The NLCS Board of Directors recognizes that the public is awaiting information about the future of Oolitic Middle School. There has not been a decision made or a vote to close OMS. Because transparency is important for us as a board, we wish to share that we are actively working on a decision regarding this issue. Not only are we reviewing existing data, but will be collecting stakeholder/community and other data to ensure we are making the best, most informed decision possible for our corporation.”
