OAKLAND CITY – The Gibson County Sheriff’s Office and Indiana State Police are currently investigating the death of a female whose body was discovered in a wooded area behind the Diplomat Motel in Oakland City.
The FBI and Oakland City Police Department are assisting in the investigation.
Troopers say they are not sure how the woman died and are waiting on the results of an autopsy. Until they get those results, they are not ruling out foul play.
