BEDFORD – The Otis Park Men’s Club will be kicking off the 2023 golf season this Thursday, April 6th at 5:30 p.m.
Thursday evening games will continue through September.
The format has changed slightly:
• Golfers will play their own ball
• Net scores are used to determine team winners
• Gross skins will be awarded
• There will be either one or two greenies depending on the 9 played
• Entry is $10. (Breakdown: $5 for the winning team, $3 skins, $1 greenie(s), $2 food)
In addition to the weekly Thursday payout, we are having a year-long Stableford points contest. This is an individual net score contest where a player’s top eight highest Thursday scoring rounds over the course of the season are counted.
Stableford’s points are as follows:
• 1 for Bogey
• 2 for Par
• 3 for Birdie
• 4 for Eagle
• 5 for Albatross (Double Eagle)
Year Long Thursday Night Stableford winner receives $500, Second place receives $300
In addition to the Thursday night league, the Men’s Club is conducting a Saturday morning game. Entry into the game is $20 with the following breakout:
• $6 towards net winners (top 50% of field wins)
• $4 towards gross winners (top 50% of the field wins)
• $5 towards gross skins
• $2 greenies
• $2 longest putt
• $1 chip in. Shots holed for eagle count as chip-in (money carries over if not won).
Tee times for this Saturday are 8:30 a.m., 8:40 a.m., and 8:50 a.m. Text Craig Reiner at 812-797-9909 to sign up. Follow Otis Park Men’s Club on Facebook as tee times will change as the year progresses.
Handicaps for the Saturday and Thursday games will be calculated using your first three rounds and then updated over the season. Score improvement formulas are in place to prohibit sandbagging.
Men’s club dues of $25 are being collected. An Otis Park GC membership is not required to play in Men’s Club events.
