Rachel Levere Merry, 46, of Orleans, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2023, at IU Health Bedford Hospital.
Born October 21, 1976, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Ricky Merry and Lynnette Fleetwood.
Rachel attended Grace Tabernacle Apostolic Church and loved being with her family. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, antiques, and remodeling her home with her mother.
Surviving are her children, Jyson Way Garland of Springville, Rayden Grace Duncan of Orleans, and Frankie Lavena Jean Duncan of Orleans; siblings, Rickie (Marcia) Merry, Jr. of Orleans, Destiny Gayle Southworth of Oolitic, Elisha Yvonne (Jason) Bendett of Mitchell; mother, Lynette Gayle Fleetwood of Orleans; maternal grandparents, Rachel and Kenny Allen of Orleans and Otto and Nancy Fleetwood of Bedford; paternal grandmother, Mildred Henderson of Mitchell.
She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Her father and paternal grandfather, Frank Merry, preceded her in death.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 6, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor Daniel Jones of Grace Tabernacle officiating. Burial will follow in Huron Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
