SPRINGVILLE – Springville Community Academy is dismissing students at 12:15 p.m. today due to the threat of severe weather.
According to officials, they were contacted by Lawrence County Emergency Management who reported severe storms will hit the area between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
“If your family lives in a mobile home or the school is a safer place than your home, your family may stay at the school to ride out the storm. School officials will remain at the school until all students are home safely. All afterschool activities and aftercare are canceled for today.”
