Woman arrested after violating no-trespass order

MITCHELL – A Mitchell woman was arrested on a charge of criminal trespass on Sunday, April 9th after Mitchell Police officers responded to a call at 5 p.m. at 1160 Camelot Court.

Tara Grissom

The manager of the apartment complex reported that 40-year-old Tara Grissom was trespassing on the property.

When police arrived they spoke to a resident who said Grissom had entered apartment 9, but there was no answer. He then heard female voices in apartment 10 and knocked on the door. The woman inside told police Grissom was on the back porch smoking.

The officer went outside and found Grissom walking away from the porch and stopped her. She told police she was just visiting for Easter and to pick up some of her belongings.

Grissom was told she was in violation of a no-trespass order and was detained.
