BEDFORD – The Bedford City Council approved multiple property rezone requests during their monthly meeting on Monday, clearing the way for property owners to build homes and operate businesses throughout the city.
The following requests, which had been previously approved by the Bedford Plan Commission, received approval from the council on Monday.
- 2201 M St. (former George’s Gateway) from R-3 to I-1 to allow the construction of storage units
- Property on South Shawnee Drive from B-3 to R-3 to allow the construction of 32 senior citizen apartments
- 702 I St. from B-2 to R-3 to allow the construction of a new home
- 2501 8th St. from I-1 to B-3 for the property to be converted into the new home of the Mixing Bowl
