COLUMBUS – No.15 Columbus North edged Bedford North Lawrence 307-321 during boys high school golf action at Harrison Lake Country Club on Tuesday afternoon.
North’s Jack Schiavello earned medalist honors with a 2-over 73 on the recently-renovated layout.
Jett Jones and Colton Staggs carded 79s to pace the Stars, while Carson Root (81) and Tyler Bellush (82) capped the team scoring.
“We played well tonight and lost to a very good team on their home course,” BNL coach Jeff Hein said. “We had never been on this course, and it was just redone recently. Our sophomores stepped up and played really well to help their team tonight.”
The Stars will host the annual BNL Invitational on Saturday at Otis Park.
