STATEHOUSE – State Rep. Chris May (R-Bedford) recently welcomed Bedford Middle School student Laura Wires to the Statehouse where she participated in the Indiana House Page Program during the 2023 legislative session.
Wires, from Bedford, assisted lawmakers and staff with daily duties, toured offices of all branches of government in the Statehouse, and joined May on the House floor to witness and learn about the legislative process.
“During their time at the Statehouse, pages learn about the lawmaking process firsthand,” May said. “It’s great to meet and get to know young Hoosiers from our community. I hope more local students take advantage of the House Page Program during the session next year.”
