MITCHELL – Mitchell High School hosted Eastern Greene for a Unified Track meet on Tuesday, which saw both the school’s boys and girls teams beaten by the Thunderbirds, despite individual first place finishes.
The Bluejackets’ boys were beaten 76-44 in final scoring. For Mitchell, four competitors earned first place in their respective competitions. Those were Gavin Robinson in Long Jump, Jacob Mooneyham in Shot Put, Nate Robertson in Discus and Adam Oster in the 400.
The girls fell by a final score of 62-49, with five top finishes on the day, which were Jorja Lamm in Long Jump, Allison Hudson in the 300 Hurdle, Zoey Smith in the 800 and Jillian Bond in both Discus and Shot Put.
