Education Scholarship Account applications for 2023-2024 are open

INDIANA – The Indiana Education Scholarship Account (ESA), funded by state tax dollars, provides education options for K-12 students with a disability, and income at or below the annual income qualification.

ESA funding can be used on private school tuition, home-based education, therapies, tutoring, and more. The average scholarship amount is $17,500.

Student Eligibility

  • Resident of Indiana
  • 5-22 years old; K-12 grade level
  • Must have a disability and require special education through an Individualized Education Program (IEP), Service Plan (SP), or Choice Service Plan.
  • Income at or below income qualification* ($166,500 for a family of four) *Visit the website for the full income table.

Qualified ESA Expenses

  • Private school tuition/fees
  • Home-based education
  • Testing and examination services
  • Tutoring
  • Educational camps
  • Equestrian therapy
  • Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services
  • Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) services
  • Music and art therapy
  • Other services provided by ESA-approved providers
