BLOOMINGTON – The Monroe County Democratic Party will host party faithful, candidates, and the public for a Democratic Party Election Night Watch at Cascades Inn, 2601 N. Walnut St, Bloomington, IN 47404 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.
MCDP Treasurer Karen Wrenbeck and MCDP Deputy Chair Susan Hingle will host festivities beginning at the close of the polls at 6 p.m.
Party nominees will make remarks once preliminary results are certified. MCDP Chair David Henry will introduce the party’s mayoral nominee and mayor-presumptive.
“Municipal Primary Night is always exciting in Bloomington,” said David G. Henry, MCDP Chair. “As Bloomington has only had five mayors in the past 52 years, voters are making a generational choice. We listen with open ears and hearts for how voters expect us to move forward together; with optimism, progress, and change in our time. Our nominees will continue our party’s half-century stewardship as the natural governing partner for Bloomingtonians and Monroe County residents for the term to come.”
