Winners of the Dogwood Festival Parade

ORLEANS – The following are the winners of the Dogwood Festival Parade that took place Saturday in Orleans.

During the parade, the town paid tribute to Dennis Fields, 70, of Orleans, who died on March 24th.

Fields served more than 30 years as a Volunteer Fireman with Orleans Fire Department and spent more than 40 years announcing the Dogwood Parade.

Parade winners:

1^st Place Float (Chairman’s Choice) – Fibertech

2^nd Place Float – Orleans Community Schools

3^rd Place Float – La-Or-Ma Shrine Club

1^st Place Antique Car – Naomi Humphries – 1969 GTX Plymouth

1^st Place Walking Unit – Orleans Bulldog Regiment

1^st Place Religious – Orleans Christian Church

2^nd Place Religious – Orleans First Baptist Church
