FAYETTEVILLE – A Bedford man was arrested on Thursday, April 27 after Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to Fayetteville Church after a report of a domestic dispute.
When police arrived at the church they spoke to two people who told police the altercation took place about a fourth of a mile from the church.
A male told police that 40-year-old Brandon Miller was arguing with a female about her not working more hours. The male confronted Miller about yelling at the female. Miller then started yelling at the male, threw a bowl at him, and then approached him and hit him in the face. Miller then proceeded to choke him.
Both the male and female said Miller getting angry and violent was a reoccurring issue.
The male suffered bruising to the left side of his face, eyes, cheek, neck, and arm.
Police then went to the home at 163 Old Farm Road to speak to Miller.
Police arrested Miller on charges of battery, and strangulation.
