BEDFORD – A woman was arrested after a Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department deputy received a report on Saturday, April 27, from the Washington County Sheriff’s Department that 51-year-old Jennifer Blair, of Martinsville, was driving a blue Pontiac Sunfire on State Road 60 West and was heading into Lawrence County.
Blair was wanted on a warrant in Morgan County and was possibly intoxicated.
A deputy spotted Blair’s vehicle traveling north on Rariden Hill Road. Deputies stopped the vehicle on State Road 37 at US 50 West. When officers approached the vehicle they saw a 5th of vodka on the passenger floorboard.
Police say Blair was intoxicated and she failed several field sobriety tests. Blair stated she had drunk a beer and not the vodka found in her vehicle. She then refused to answer any more questions. She did perform a portable breath test and tested O.169.
Blair was arrested on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, OWI endangerment, and an outstanding warrant.
