BLOOMINGTON – The Peak-Season Market starts this Saturday at the Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market and is open every Saturday from May through September from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. and every Saturday in October from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Showers Common, at 401 North Morton Street.

This Saturday, the BCFM welcomes the return of Tom aka “Guitar Tom” Harlan.
Tom is a guitar and vocal singer and songwriter. His genres are Old Time, Country and Bluegrass, Blues, and Rock.
He’s performed in the Bloomington and Brown County areas. His performance begins at 10 a.m.
Mayor at the Market is a community outreach program that invites Market-goers to interact with the mayor and various department heads from the City of Bloomington government.
Most Saturday mornings, either Mayor Hamilton, Deputy Mayor Mary Catherine Carmichael, or one of nineteen department heads will be at the Farmers’ Market to answer resident questions and discuss issues of interest in the city.
This week, John Zody, director of Housing and Neighborhood Development (HAND) for the City of Bloomington will be greeting the public at the Market between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
The Farmers’ Market Advisory Council represents Market vendors, customers, and food and beverage artisans. The Council acts in an advisory capacity on policy matters relating to the Farmers’ Market. The next Meeting is Monday, May 15, from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m.
