Gerald Alan McClellan, 80, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2023, at Majestic Care of Bedford.
Born Nov. 21, 1942, in Hancock, Michigan, he was the son of Gerald and Beatrice (Bruneau) McClellan.
Gerald was a 1960 graduate of Hancock High School and was of the Christian Faith. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Gerald had worked at Regal-Beloit in Mitchell and later retired from Helsel Inc. in Campbellsburg. He greatly enjoyed car auctions and restoring classic cars. Gerald was known to hunt out old VHS tapes to collect and watch. He also enjoyed visiting his favorite state parks, especially Spring Mill.
Surviving are his daughter, Keely (Derek) Stutz of Mitchell; grandchildren, Cassandra Stutz of Mitchell, and Derek Stutz II of Mitchell; and his sister, Judith.
His parents preceded him in death.
Graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 9, in Green Hill Cemetery in Bedford with Reverend Reggie Clack officiating. Military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post NO. 250 and Veteran of Foreign War Post NO. 9107. Burial will follow.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Tuesday, in the Memorial Chapel at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
