ORANGE CO. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces lane restrictions for State Road 145 near French Lick.
Beginning on or around Monday, May 15, crews will begin restricting traffic on State Road 145 near French Lick over French Lick Creek. These restrictions will allow for bridge deck overlay work. Traffic will be restricted to one lane during construction. A temporary traffic signal will be utilized to handle traffic flow.
Work will begin on northbound lanes with traffic utilizing southbound lanes. Once construction completes, traffic flow will move northbound as work on the south side of the bridge begins. During construction, an 11-foot width restriction will be in place. Work on the bridge is expected to finish by the end of May, depending on the weather.
INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews.
