BLOOMINGTON – The sweet taste of savor sweetness making its way to the Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market – strawberries.
Strawberries are the perfect naturally sweet and healthy snack, plus they make great jams and spreads too. There should be a bountiful supply arriving this Saturday.
Reminder: Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 14th. Come and select from an array of beautiful plants at the BCFM this Saturday.
During this month of May, A Fair of the Arts will launch its 2023 season beginning this Saturday, with 35 local artisan vendors on Fernandez Plaza outside of City Hall. Come out and peruse the fine-crafted items made by local craftsmen. It will be a great time to pick up that special gift for a mom or a mother figure in your life.
This local shopping experience is the second Saturday of every month throughout the Market season from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. May-September and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in October.

Most Saturday mornings, either Mayor Hamilton, Deputy Mayor Mary Catherine Carmichael, or one of nineteen department heads will be at the Farmers’ Market to answer resident questions and discuss issues of interest in the city.
This week, Adam Wason, director of the City’s Department of Public Works will be greeting the public at the Market from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
