MITCHELL – Two men were arrested on drug charges on Sunday, May 14th after Mitchell Police Officer Kenton Carter stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation.
Officer Carter was assisted at the scene by LCPD Officers Pruett and Officer Daughety as well as Paoli Police Department Canine Riggs.
Two people were arrested after Canine Riggs alerted officers to drugs in the vehicle. Officers seized seven grams of meth, multiple syringes, and a handgun.
Police arrested Johnathon Troutman, 37, of Louisville, KY, on a charge of possession of meth and 42-year-old Jason Higdon, of Louisville, KY, on charges of unlawful possession of a syringe, possession of meth, and possession of a firearm by a felon.
