Marilyn Kay Goodman, 75, of Bedford, passed away on May 20, 2023.
Born in Muncie, IN on May 17, 1948, she was the daughter of Willard and Georgie (Gehring) South. She married Dennis Goodman on August 29, 1980 and he passed away on April 29, 2016.
Marilyn was a member of the First Assembly of God in Harrodsburg and loved working in her flower garden.
Surviving Marilyn are her two daughters, Tammy Bartlett, and Kelly (Christopher) Powell; one son, Alan Level; grandchildren, Maranda (Evan) Wells, Alex Lee, Alaina LaHue, Kaylee (Dylan) Higginbotham, Sydney Powell, and Makensi (Caleb) Wenz; three great-grandchildren, Vander, Chase, and Hide; three sisters, Sharon (Roger) Russell, Shirley (Ronnie) Terrell, and Susan Hall; and one brother, Walter “Tick” McGill.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers, Lonnie, and David South.
A graveside funeral service will take place at 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Green Hill Cemetery in Bedford with Phil Thorne officiating.
The Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes has been entrusted with Marilyn’s care.
